The Monroe Institute’s Exploring Consciousness retreat at Valley Rock Inn will be led by Sky Waterpeace, an advanced outreach instructor with the Monroe Institute.

This program will train you to synchronize the right and left hemispheres of your brain, allowing you to reach your highest potential.

Founded in 1974 by Robert A. Monroe, the Monroe Institute is a leader in exploring consciousness and human potential.

This three-day workshop will introduce you to higher states of consciousness, referred to by the Monroe Institute as Focus 10 and Focus 12.

  • Focus 10 allows you to experience a state of “body asleep, mind awake.” Some have compared this to feeling as though they were in their mother’s womb.
  • Focus 12 enables you to explore expanded states of consciousness while your body remains at rest.

Sky Waterpeace will guide participants through meditative and expanded states of consciousness using sound-based technology. You’ll learn to reliably activate the whole-brain state on demand, amplifying your abilities and potential.

This is a two-night, three-day all-inclusive bohemian luxury immersion retreat at Valley Rock Inn. Additional activities include pre-workshop guided hikes, yoga followed by sauna and cold dips. Valley Rock Inn also features a 7,000 sq. ft. gym that is open to guests 24 hours a day.

Sky Pelletier Waterpeace

Sky Pelletier Waterpeace is a mathematician and author who has a deep love of exploring consciousness. Sky has been a lucid dreamer since the age of five, which shaped in a deep way his understanding of the many levels of conscious experience. Sky considers himself a “true skeptic—someone who is willing to be skeptical of anything, including their own beliefs” and loves Bob Monroe’s famous saying: “Don’t believe a word I say… Go out and experience it yourself, because then you won’t need to believe—you will know what is true for you.”

Having struggled to maintain a meditation practice for decades, Sky was delighted to discover the work of the Monroe Institute, and credits Hemi-Sync for turning him almost overnight into a regular meditator.

Sky loves Bob Monroe’s missive to “get it out there,” to share the work of the Monroe Institute with the world. Sky has been running a Monroe Community Group since 2019, is a member of the Monroe Institute Outreach Leadership Council, and is especially delighted to “get it out there” as an Outreach Trainer leading the two-day Exploring Consciousness workshop.

We have 20 guest rooms, all with their own baths. All rooms have queen or king beds with Casper mattresses and Frette linens. We think you will like the way they are furnished.

Dining

You will never go hungry. We have an on-site organic market with green juice on tap. You can help yourself anytime you like. We have two restaurant kitchens, and we are known for our many dining venues throughout the property to keep each meal interesting. Our food is fresh and clean, and we offer extensive proteins. You can be vegan or a carnivore. We serve wine and cocktails, with the exception of our January dates.
