Recreation & Fitness Retreats

at Valley Rock inn

Valley Rock Fitness Retreats Are Back!

We are ALL about soaking up the nature around us. Situated on three acres between the 70,000 wilderness acres of Sterling Forest and Harriman State Park, the Valley Rock Inn compound is a wellness-focused destination with a lengthy list of activities and boot camps. Oh, and we consider cultural day trips, antiquing and outlet shopping to be sports!

On the property itself, you’ll find a fully equipped 7,000-square-foot gym open 24/7 to our guests with dedicated spin and yoga rooms, plus an outdoor 75-foot pool. Private yoga sessions can be arranged for $250/hour for groups of up to 10 guests.

We’ve created a haven for outdoor recreation, ideal for visitors with a modern, active and healthy lifestyle.

A Nature Lover's Nirvana

When your backyard is nature, opportunities abound every season: walking paths and steep climbs for hiking and mountain biking; lakes for swimming, fishing and kayaking; fresh trails for skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing when wintertime rolls around; and more.

Hiking trails are clearly marked to make it easy to venture on your own, but if you’d like us to arrange for a guide, please let us know in advance of your arrival. Our team’s favorite spots include the ridge line climbs at nearly 2,000-foot elevator on 7 Hills Trail;  brookside trail run hikes at Reeves Meadow and

NOTE:  We recommend downloading the All Trails app–it’s free and works beautifully.

Local Color, Arts & Culture

One of our favorite scenic drives is a ride on 7 Lakes Drive to Tiorati Circle and back to the inn…it will make you feel like you have gone to another world.

Our Lower Hudson Valley location puts us within a short drive of fun day trips to vibrant towns like Hudson, Catskills, Kingston, Livingston Manor, Kent, Cold Spring, New Preston and Millbrook, where you can wander, shop and experience the local character.
